Gonzalo Fernández Castaño will start his participation in the Valero Texas Open this Thursday, PGA Tour tournament held at the Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio.

Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-5) shot a 69 in the second round of the Puerto Rico Open, completed on Saturday morning due to delays caused by an electric storm the day before. The Madrid native, who was able to finish his round on Friday after the long break, did more than just make the cut, he did it with conviction, bogey-free, which allowed him to move up a handful of positions in the rankings, which means he can contemplate the comeback this weekend.

The Spanish golfer shot a bogey on the 9th hole, the last one left to play, for a final score of 70 shots which, at the moment, places him just inside the cut line and seven shots from the leader, American golfer Trey Mullinax.
Gonzalo Fernández Castaño is back in action in the PGA Tour this week in the Puerto Rico Open, and it’s not just any tournament for the Spanish golfer. It’s because he’s far behind in the FedEx Cup rankings and, additionally, he doesn’t exactly have a whole lot of opportunities to play due to his category at the start of the PGA Tour tournaments.
